How do you play Football Squares?
There are many different variations of how people play football squares, also known as Super Bowl Squares. We have a help page that you can use to learn How to Play Football Squares
Can I change the Rules and Payouts?
We provide a template of Rules, payouts, images, etc. for you to begin with, but you can edit them to match your needs.
How do the Players pay for their Squares?
The Admin decides how to collect funds from Players.
You can put a link or instructions within the Rules or Payment section of your grids about how you would like to collect funds, whether it be through a link to an online payment solution or through an offline method. If you put it within the Payment section, it will show on your Grid's Homepage, the confirmation page after a User makes their selection(s), and also on the email confirmation that the User receives.
It is very easy to add/remove players from your Grid, so if they don't pay on time you can easily remove them and let other Players choose their square.
How much does this service cost?
You can find the pricing on the Registration page located at https://superbowlsquares.org/register
Do you offer discounts for charities or non‑profits?
The majority of our Customers use our service for this purpose, so our pricing is structured for these type of organizations already.
What if I need additional grids?
As the Admin, you can purchase additional grids at any time. New grids will appear on your Grids page when you log in. Each grid has its own unique URL; many admins place cross‑links in the Rules section and use the same public login to make it easy for players to switch between grids.
Can I use this service for games other than the Super Bowl?
Yes, you can definitely use our Service for any game, including College Football games, NFL Regular Season games, NFL Playoff games, NBA, March Madness, Basketball Squares, etc.
Is it legal to run a fundraiser online?
Rules vary by state and circumstance. Please research your local regulations and ensure your use complies with applicable laws.
What if the grid won’t fill up?
It’s up to the Admin. A common approach is to reduce the price per square and allow existing players to add more picks.
How are the Numbers Generated?
As the Admin, go to Admin > Manage Grids, open the Edit menu for a grid, and choose “Manage Numbers.” From there you can generate numbers automatically or enter them manually.
How do I Invite Players?
Invite players using your email client. Include the grid URL plus the grid username and password you set under Settings. You can find the grid URL on your Admin dashboard.
How do I edit a Player's entry?
If you would like to make a change to an entry or to delete an entry, please do the following:
- Login as the Admin
- Click on the "Edit" dropdown menu on the left hand side of the grid listing for the grid you want to manage
- Choose "Show Players"
- You should now see a list of all your Entrants with a dropdown on the right side of their entry
- Click the "Edit" Dropdown and Choose to Edit or Delete
How do I run a Grid for the entire NFL Regular Season?
There are two common ways to run Football Squares for the NFL season:
- Great for Monday Night Football Squares
- Or have Football Squares every week for your Favorite NFL Team!
- Single Grid for the entire Season
- With a Single Grid, every User/Player selects a Square that will last them the entire season.
- Once the Grid is full, the Admin generates the numbers for that week (e.g. Week 1)
- After the game is complete, the Admin takes note of which Squares won.
- After recording who won, the Admin will then generate a new set of numbers for the following week. (e.g. Week 2). [[ Note: we recommend generating the new set of numbers a day or two before the next game to allow Users/Players to see who won the week prior. ]]
- 18 Different Grids
- With 18 Grids, you can have a completely different Grid of Players each week, and the Winning numbers for each week will always be available since there is a separate Grid per week.
What are Entry Codes and how do they work?
Entry Codes add an extra layer of control to your grid by requiring players to enter a special code before they can pick squares.
How it works:
- Enable Entry Codes in your grid's Settings page
- Create one or more unique codes (e.g., "TEAM2026" or "CHARITY")
- Share the code(s) only with players you want to participate
- Players must enter a valid code before selecting their squares
Benefits:
- Controlled Access: Only players with a code can make picks, even if they know the grid URL and password
- Track Referrals: Create different codes for different groups (e.g., "OFFICE", "FAMILY", "FRIENDS") to see where your players are coming from
- Prevent Unwanted Entries: Stop random visitors or bots from filling up your grid
- Flexible Distribution: Give codes to team captains or group leaders to share with their people
Entry Codes work alongside (not instead of) your grid's username and password, giving you multiple layers of access control.
Can I add other people to help manage my grid?
Yes! The Secondary Admins feature allows you to invite other registered users to help manage your grid.
How to add a Secondary Admin:
- Enable Secondary Admins in your grid's Settings page
- Find the "Secondary Admins" tab
- Enter the email address of the person you want to add (they must have a SuperBowlSquares.org account)
- They'll receive access to manage your grid from their own account
What Secondary Admins can do:
- View and manage players (edit entries, mark as paid, delete picks)
- Generate and manage grid numbers
- Send emails to players
- Update grid settings and rules
Benefits:
- Shared Workload: Delegate tasks like tracking payments or answering player questions
- Team Management: Perfect for organizations where multiple people run the fundraiser
- Backup Access: Ensure someone else can manage the grid if you're unavailable
- No Password Sharing: Each admin uses their own secure login
You remain the primary admin and can remove secondary admins at any time.
